Billing tool for Swiss home care: invoices straight into bexio
Anyone billing home care in Switzerland already has software that produces the General Invoice XML and submits it to the health insurer. The billing tool question is what happens next: who posts the invoice, who sees what is still open, and where the rest of the business lives.
What a billing tool for Swiss home care does
A billing tool for Swiss home care has a narrow job. It records services, builds the invoice file to the Forum Datenaustausch standard and sends it to the insurer under KVG, UVG, IVG or MVG. Good care systems do this well — for freelance nurses, APNs and small home-care organisations alike.
That file is the same one you already submit. CuraSovo does not replace the care system. It reads that file and turns it into bookkeeping.
What's left afterwards
Once the invoice has gone out, you are running a business. You need to know which fund still owes you money, and since when. Receipts sit in an envelope. Supplier invoices arrive by email. Once a year a folder goes to the accountant, who types fuel receipts at an hourly rate.
For a long time that was the only option. It isn't one any more. The gap is not documentation — it is the missing link from billing into accounts you actually own.
How it works instead
CuraSovo reads the billing file you submit anyway and creates the entries in your bexio accounting — with the contact, the revenue account and a link back to the document in your care system. No retyping, no second set of books.
In bexio you get what a care system doesn't know:
- you photograph receipts with the bexio Go app and the amounts are read automatically
- supplier invoices by email go straight into processing, QR invoices are recognised automatically
- your e-banking is connected and incoming payments are matched automatically
- VAT reporting and the year-end run from the same accounts
What you can see
Which insurer owes you how much, since when, and what is overdue — live from bexio, not as a stored snapshot. How the year is going, while it is going. From PLUS, the federal statistics on help and care at home are built from the same invoices you post.
Plus the two thresholds people otherwise miss: VAT liability above CHF 100,000 of taxable turnover — tariffed care does not count — and double-entry bookkeeping above CHF 500,000.
And your accountant
They stay — for the year-end, for taxes and for the questions where experience counts. You invite them into your bexio account and they work directly in it. No folder, no email attachment, no cloud share. They see no treatment data, no diagnoses and nothing that would point to an illness.
The result is double-entry bookkeeping that is complete and belongs to you. CuraSovo is hosted in Geneva, encrypted, with no treatment data stored.
